About ME

I have a MA in Psychotherapy and a PG Dip in Counselling, I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I am an Integrative Therapist which can be confusing lingo in psychological therapies but basically means I adapt my practice to meet the needs of my clients. Counselling isn’t really one size fits all because people are different - and so are their life stories - so working together we can look at interventions that might help.

I am trained in Internal Family Systems (level 1), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma, Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Depression, Emotion Focused Therapy, Bereavement and Compassion Focused Therapy and have a BACP equivalent Level 1 & 2 qualification in working with Young People from age 11.

My Masters Research Thesis was in Shame and I have a special interest in Trauma (with big and little T) and low self worth and how it presents in client narratives. Over the years I have worked with a number of people with Religious Trauma and I have an academic and personal interest in how that impacts world view and personhood.

I also work as a Supervisor, supporting people who work in the caring professions to manage their client material and the impact of their work on their personhood. From other Counsellors and coaches to Lawyers and Safeguarding Teams my experience is being a safe container for those that contain others.

Please my other business website for corporate clients and training:

As a member of the BACP I work within their Ethical Framework and am professionally Supervised.
